His education was initially technical, he graduates in 1995 at the Technical Institute for Surveyors of Varese.
During high school he cultivated a passion for design and for the harmony of forms.
After several years of working as surveyor in his father’s firm in 2000 he decided to follow his real passion and enroll at the Interior Design Institute of Milan.
Since 2002 he becomes assistant designer;
In 2003 he participates to the “Piranesi International Award”.
In 2004 he graduated with honors by presenting a project for a temporary installation of four suites in the park of Villa Adriana (Tivoli).
In 2005 he moved to Canada and enrolled at Renisson College at Waterloo University in Kitchener (Ontario), where he expands his expertise in the international design world.
Back in Italy he collaborates with several architectural and interior design firms by providing a three-dimensional graphic design support.
In 2005, he meets Francesco Faravelli during the creation of the stand for Maison & Object in Paris. This leads to a strong partnership that will last until today and give life to FG Art and Design.
Francesco Faravelli was born in Milan in 1970, he had a technical education.
After years of trade experience in big companies he randomly approach the ceramic world.
He first attended the workshop of a ceramist and sculptor in Varese, then he attends an annual course for ceramists sponsored by the European Union.
Here it comes immediately to light a particular interest in the Raku technique.
He has participated in several exhibitions and in 2002 he shows his works at B&B Italia at the Salone del Mobile of Milan collaborating with Studio Collage.
That same year, he creates a jewelry collection for Dolce and Gabbana, and then a project for the Institute of Modern Design of Stockholm.
He won the third prize at the Mia, international exhibition of interior design items (Monza-2004), in the same year he was selected to join a collective art show of European Raku ceramists.

In 2005 Solo exhibition at Pappafood – Mediaset headquarters (Cologno Monzese)
In 2005 he meets Paolo Guadalupi during the creation of the stand for Maison & Object in Paris. This leads to a strong partnership that will last until today and give life to FG Art and Design.
Francesco Faravelli and Paolo Guadalupi are the founders of FG Art and Design, an Italian brand specialized in design and realization of high-quality design items and artistic solutions.
The strength of FG is the variety of his team, made up of architects, interior designers, artists and artisans who blend their different technical skills in each project.
